U.S. National Insignia 1943-1945 1:72 is a decal sheet from Techmod with American national markings for USAAF and US Navy aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal sheet in 1:72 scale holds a set of American national aircraft markings (star and bar) in the form used in the period from 1943 to 1945. The set is from the Polish maker Techmod, known for its dense registration and thin carrier film. The markings come in several sizes, so that they can be placed on the fuselage and on both wings of various types of aircraft.
In mid-1943 the US Army Air Forces introduced the marking with white bars beside the star (star and bar), at first with a red surround and later with a blue one. The sheet therefore allows fighters and bombers of the USAAF and of naval aviation to be marked to match that period. A universal set of national markings also serves as a replacement for poor decals from the box.
Go over the base with gloss varnish, so that the edge of the film does not catch the light. Release the decal in warm water, place it in position and squeeze the remaining water out with a soft cloth. For it to bed perfectly into the detail, use a decal softener. Finally, even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
This is an add-on decal sheet. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
