1:72 UB-32A-24 rocket launchers (4 pcs) is a set of four 3D-printed rocket launchers for Soviet and Russian helicopters and aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of four 3D-printed rocket launchers in 1:72 scale. It is not a model, but armament for one. Launchers of this range carry small-caliber unguided rockets in a bundle of tubes and were used on Soviet and Russian attack helicopters and on combat aircraft. The dense bundle of tubes at the front is characteristic, and in a small scale it practically cannot be captured in plastic.
Rocket launchers with unguided rockets served for area effect against unprotected targets, that is personnel, light vehicles and positions. They were cheap, reloaded quickly and one salvo covered a large area. The price for that was poor accuracy, so they were used against targets where an individual hit did not matter. On helicopters they hung on pylons on the sides of the fuselage, usually in pairs.
Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the rest away; do not snap them. The printed material is hard and brittle, so work without pressure. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and apply a primer. The mouths of the tubes come out best when a very thin dark wash is run into them and the excess is wiped off at once.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
