This product is not a model but a turned metal replacement barrel for the American 75 mm M3 gun. It replaces the plastic barrel from a kit with a faithfully shaped metal part with a drilled muzzle and exact geometry. It is intended for models of the American Sherman medium tank in the M4A3 version in 1:72 scale. Aber is a Polish manufacturer of turned barrels and photo-etched accessories.
The 75 mm M3 gun was the standard armament of most Shermans. The versatile gun handled both anti-tank and support fire with high-explosive shells and was the key to the mass deployment of the Sherman with the Allied armies. The smooth barrel without a muzzle brake has a typical medium length.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean up the seat, then glue the metal one on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal part ensures a straight and round muzzle. Degrease it before painting and apply a metal primer.
This is a metal accessory, not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
