The set contains around forty-eight parts and decals, so the build is quick and straightforward. The finished model measures roughly six and a half centimeters in length. It is not a wheeled vehicle; the carrier runs on tracks.
The M113 is a tracked armored personnel carrier introduced in the 1960s, one of the most widespread armored vehicles of all. Its aluminum hull gave it a low weight and the ability to swim, and the rear ramp let a squad get out quickly. The A3 form brought a more powerful engine, a new transmission and further changes for the safety of the crew. The vehicle saw dozens of variants and served in dozens of countries.
Finish and paint the running gear before you attach the side armor panels. In a small scale the build is quick, so it pays to spend the time on the surface rather than on the parts. An olive or sand finish comes to life with lightened upper surfaces, a wash running into the recesses and rubs on the edges and on the ramp. Earthy pigments belong on the track pads and on the lower part of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
