A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from Techmod for a model of the carrier fighter Vought F4U-1 Corsair. The sheet carries American national insignia and technical stencils from the period of the Second World War. It is not a kit - these are decals for a kit of your own.

The real subject

The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter with an unmistakable inverted gull wing. It excelled in speed and toughness and was used above all by the US Navy and the US Marine Corps in the Pacific. The F4U-1 version is among the first production machines.

Use

  • Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water and slide it into place
  • Apply it onto a smooth gloss coat to prevent silvering
  • A softener will help the decal follow the detail
  • Seal it with clear varnish once it is dry
