Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains forty-eight figures in eight poses, molded in one piece and supplied without paint. The set captures the infantry of the ANZAC corps, that is, the Australian and New Zealand units of the First World War, and complements the British formations of the same range.
The ANZAC corps was formed by joining Australian and New Zealand formations and became famous for the landing at Gallipoli in April 1915. The soldiers wore a field uniform of British cut, and the characteristic mark became the felt slouch hat, though in the trenches it was commonly replaced by a steel helmet. After the withdrawal from the Dardanelles both divisions were committed to the Western Front, where they went through the fighting at Pozieres, Messines and Amiens.
Wash the plastic in lukewarm soapy water, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. The Australian uniform tends more toward a brownish khaki and the New Zealand one toward gray-green, so from a single set you can tell the two formations apart by nothing more than a change of shade. Accentuate the slouch hat with a lighter band, otherwise in a small scale it merges with the head. Leave the equipment and the canvas gaiters lighter than the uniform; it adds depth.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
