Flyhawk FH72001 German tools and holders is a 1:72 accessory set in photo-etched sheet and resin for models of German Second World War vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory set in 1:72 scale replaces the tools on the hulls of German Second World War vehicles with parts that plastic simply cannot look like. It combines photo-etched sheet with resin: the thin holders, clips and straps are photo-etched, the bodies of the tools are castings. It is the first part of a series, so it can be completed with further sets of the same kind.
Cut the original molded-in tools off the model with a scalpel and sand the surface smooth, otherwise the new part will not seat. Cut the photo-etched parts out on a hard surface and bend them in a bending tool or between two blades; held in the fingers, thin sheet twists. It is glued with super glue; use only a minimum on plastic. Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent before gluing. Paint the tools separately and fit them to the model only when finished, because once they are glued on you can no longer reach them with a brush.
For modelers of military vehicles in 1:72 who want detail on a small model comparable with larger scales, and for diorama builders. Working with tiny photo-etched parts assumes tweezers, a sharp knife and patience.
The set is an accessory, not a vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
