A set of figures of Romanian infantry of the Second World War in 1:72 scale. It is one of the armies that appear only rarely among modeling products, even though it put hundreds of thousands of men into the field on the Eastern Front. The figures are supplied unpainted and the mold seam has to be removed before painting.
Romania entered the war at the side of Germany and its army took part in the campaigns on the Eastern Front, where it suffered heavy losses. In 1944 it changed sides and Romanian units fought against their former allies in the closing stage of the war. The equipment was a mixture of domestic production and deliveries from abroad, and the recognizable feature of the infantry was a helmet of domestic pattern with a prominent comb.
Wash the figures in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry, as the paint will otherwise not hold. Take the mold seam off with a blade held at an angle. In 1:72 scale there is no point in painting every button: what counts is the overall tone of the uniform, a dark shadow in the folds and a light area on top. Set the helmets and the equipment apart in a different shade, so that the figure does not merge into one color.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
