A plastic kit of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-18T aircraft in 1:72 scale from the maker Amodel. The injection-molded tooling is completed by a clear part for the cabin glazing, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet. The model is assembled and painted.
The Yak-18T was the four-seat version of the well-known Yak-18 series and represented its last development variant. Unlike its tandem-seat trainer predecessors it was given a wider fuselage with a cabin for the pilot and passengers, laid out more like that of a small touring aircraft. It served for training, liaison and carrying people and became a widespread machine with flying clubs and state operators alike.
With a short-run mold it pays to dry-fit the parts and to clean up the mold seams finely. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Mask the cabin glazing and glue it in at the end. We recommend a base coat (primer) and finishing with an airbrush for an even coverage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
