Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet single-seat Yakovlev Yak-18P aerobatic aircraft. It is a short-run kit from the Ukrainian maker Amodel. The small model, with a wingspan of around 145 mm, will please collectors of sporting and training machines. The build calls for a somewhat more careful approach than mainstream kits.
The Yak-18P was a single-seat aerobatic aircraft derived from the Yak-18A trainer. It appeared at the end of the 1950s and served Soviet sport pilots in domestic and international aerobatic competitions. It differed from the two-seat training version in a cockpit reworked for one pilot and in its focus on agile aerobatics.
Clean the flash off the parts and dry-fit them. Paint the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. A sporting aircraft tends to wear striking combinations of gloss white, red and blue, which come out well under an airbrush over a smooth painted base. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
