This is a cast resin accessory from SBS Model, not an aircraft kit. The set replaces the plastic exhaust stacks on a model of the Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-1b in 1:72 scale, for models of this type. The resin castings have faithfully rendered exhaust openings.
The Yak-1b was an improved version of the successful Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-1 of the Second World War, with a reworked cockpit and armament. It was powered by a liquid-cooled V engine with exhaust stacks along the sides.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove mold release residue. Cut the fine casting gates off with a knife and, if you wish, carefully drill the openings out for a more faithful look. Glue them only with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
