Colored Quinta interior pieces made by 3D printing for a model of the Range Rover Classic in 1:24 scale, for the Aoshima kit. The smaller version of the set.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Range Rover Classic is a British off-road car with a boxy body and a high seating position, in which the inside is visible through the large glazing from every side. On a model in 1:24 scale that means an empty dashboard and bare seats are visible on the finished piece at first glance.
Colored interior pieces made by 3D printing, carried on a paper backing. They are applied to the parts of the inside and replace the hand painting of small things: the instruments, the controls and the breakdown of the upholstery. The pieces are shaped for the Aoshima kit in 1:24 scale, and this is the smaller version of the set.
First clear the surface under a piece of flash and of molded detail that would make a bump beneath it, and paint the base in a dark shade. Cut the piece out with a sharp blade and try it in place dry. Dip the sheet briefly in lukewarm water and slide the piece off the backing paper onto gloss varnish, which holds it; it has no adhesive of its own, and a decal softener would damage the printed resin. Work with tweezers and clean hands, as the colored layer is sensitive to grease. Press a settled piece down with a soft tool, so that it seats even in the hollows. Go one piece at a time and allow yourself more time for the set; blind placement is hard to correct in a narrow cabin.
For modelers who are building a car with a glazed body and do not want to paint the dashboard with a brush. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
