HäT 28011 Bavarian infantry in action is a set of 28 mm figures in hard plastic - thirty-two figures in eight poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of HäT figures in the 28 mm wargaming scale, which corresponds to roughly one to fifty-six. The box contains thirty-two figures in eight poses, caught in combat: lunging, firing and loading. The figures are in hard plastic and the equipment is fitted separately, so they are assembled before painting with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene.
In the Napoleonic wars the Kingdom of Bavaria was one of the German states of the Confederation of the Rhine, and its infantry fought alongside the French army in a number of campaigns. The hallmark of the Bavarian soldier was a helmet with a crested comb, the so-called Raupenhelm, and a light blue coat that was distinguishable at a glance from the French dark blue. It is precisely that combination that makes the Bavarian infantry a rewarding subject: in a tabletop force you recognize them at once.
Fit the equipment first, let the cement cure properly and only then glue the figures onto their bases. The light blue coat needs a light undercoat, otherwise it stays muddy; lay down a white or gray base and build the blue up in thin coats. The helmet comb stands out if you darken it and lighten only the edge. At 28 mm it is already worth picking out the face.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
