A modeling material, not a kit. This package from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya contains ten plastic (styrene) beams of square section with a 2 mm side. It is a universal stock material that suits anywhere you need straight square rods – for bracing, frames, structures, repairs and making your own parts (scratchbuilding). The material bonds with ordinary cement for plastic.
Square beams are a basic building element for a modeler. You will use them to brace joints from the inside, to build frames, scaffolding, crates and structures for dioramas, or to replace damaged parts. Styrene cuts with a knife, sands and glues easily, so the work is quick and clean. The beams can also be combined with the round, triangular and flat stock of the same range.
This is a modeling material, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
