Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash

This light gray acrylic wash from the Mecha Color line is a ready-made solution prepared for immediate use. It is intended to bring out the details and the engraved panel lines on robot, sci-fi and Gunpla models and on ordinary machinery too. The paint is water-based, non-toxic and without smell, and comes in a bottle of 17 ml with a dropper. The liquid wash runs by capillary action into recesses and seams, where once dry it forms a fine shadow and visually deepens the surface. The light gray shade is ideal for light, white and pastel areas, where a dark wash would look too coarse.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and during the work.
• Lay it on with a brush straight into the panel lines and recesses, and once it has gone tacky, wipe the excess away with a cloth lightly dampened with water.
• It works best on a smooth or glossy base; before the wash it is worth going over the area with gloss varnish.
• It is thinned and the tools are cleaned with water; the wash dries quickly to a matte surface.
