An IONIC paint set from the Real Heavy Metal sub-range, named after the cool violet designated Astral Violet.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint set from the IONIC range and, within it, from the Real Heavy Metal sub-range. The word Set in the name says the package holds several containers and is named after the shade Astral Violet. The exact extent of the package, that is the number of containers and their volume, is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The name points to a cool violet with a blue base, the kind that suits night and starry subjects. It comes into its own on space bases and nebulae painted on plinths, on glowing runes and magical effects on figures, on the energy elements of science fiction machinery and as a cool shadow in silver and blue areas. Compare the actual register of the tone with the manufacturer's color chart; the name suggests the direction, but a shade shown on a screen always differs a little from the applied paint.
Stir the container thoroughly before picking the paint up. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer and those instructions take precedence over any general advice. Build a cool violet on a light base; on a dark area it needs more coats and loses its clarity. Apply in thin coats and let each one dry, otherwise the engraving is flooded and the fine relief disappears. Run the transition to the surrounding color in small steps so that it stays soft. Flush the brush right after work, as dried paint will no longer come out of the base of the bristles.
The paints of this set are supplied. Brushes, an airbrush and thinner are not included, unless stated otherwise.
