Book: True Metallic Metal, BSL System (English version)

This is a modeling reference book published by Vallejo, not a kit. The book is devoted to mastering the metallic paints of the True Metallic Metal line and to applying shades systematically by the BSL method, that is, working with a base tone, shadow and light. The text is in English.

What the book contains

• The basics of working with metallic paints and the principle of the BSL system (base, shadow, light).
• The principles of volume and lighting carried over to metal surfaces.
• A breakdown of the color families of the True Metallic Metal line, from yellow and orange through blue and green to bronze, gold and silver.
• Recommendations on tools, brushwork and airbrush techniques.
• A chapter on weathering and on combining the line with other paint ranges.

Who it is for

For figure painters and modelers who want to master convincing metal surfaces using real metallic paints, and for advanced painters looking for a complete method. This is the English-language edition of the book.
