Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Low Odor)

Tamiya Extra Thin Cement in the Low Odor version (with a reduced smell) is a very thin modeling cement from Tamiya intended for building plastic (polystyrene) models. It is a capillary cement: thanks to its low viscosity, the fine brush is laid against the seam of parts that are already fitted together and the cement seeps into the joint by itself through capillary action. It dissolves the styrene from inside the seam and welds the parts firmly together without flooding onto the visible surface. The Low Odor version uses a solvent with a reduced smell, which is more pleasant during longer work, yet good ventilation is still necessary. The cap holds a fine brush for accurate application.

Use

• gluing and welding the parts of polystyrene plastic kits
• the parts are first fitted together, the brush is laid against the seam and the cement wicks into the joint by itself
• ideal for fine and accurate joints, railings, panels and small parts where you do not want to spread cement over the surface
• it sets quickly, so it is enough to hold the parts briefly in the right position
