Green Gold is a metallic shade from the Vallejo range. It is a gold with a green cast, that is a tone between yellow gold and a brass sheen. The package has a volume of 35 ml, which is a larger quantity than the usual modeling bottles.
Metallic shades are used where a surface is meant to look like a polished or decorated glossy material: on the decorative elements of figures, on diorama accessories, on plates and frames or on the small details of historical subjects. A green-gold tone tends to be rewarding on an older, weathered look, because it does not appear as new as a pure gold.
Metallic paints behave differently from opaque shades: they carry a coarser pigment, they cover one another less well and every extra stroke shows up easily. It therefore pays to work patiently and to let a coat dry before you add the next one.
