The Mr. Vice GT-66 vise for clamping small modeling parts. The part is held firmly and both hands stay free for the tool.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mr. Vice GT-66 is a small vise for modeling work on small parts. A clamped part does not turn under the tool, so both hands stay free and the modeler does not have to balance the force with their fingers. That is where most slips with a knife, a file or a chisel come from: a part held only in the fingers works loose under pressure and the blade runs over a flat surface and over the hand.
Tighten it only enough for the part to hold. Thin plastic as well as resin parts can be permanently deformed or cracked by clamping, and the imprint of the jaws is then hard to save. On fragile and finished painted parts put a piece of soft material between the jaw and the part, stiffer paper or thin rubber for instance. Lead the tool away from the clamping, not against it, and free the jaws of dust and offcuts from time to time, otherwise the part wobbles in the grip.
For builders of plastic models, figures and accessory sets who work with small parts and want a sure grip when engraving, drilling and sanding. The package holds the tool alone; a model, glue and other tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
