GX102 Deep Clear Red is the clear red of the Mr.Color GX range in a deeper, more saturated position. The word Deep sets this variant apart from the lighter clear red: it reaches a dark tone in fewer coats. A clear coat does not cover the surface underneath; the layer below shows through it and only the reflected light is colored. The GX range belongs to Mr.Color, so it thins with the thinner intended for that range, and the thinning ratio is given in the instructions from the manufacturer on the packaging.
A deep clear red belongs above all on lighting equipment and glossy surfaces:
Stir the bottle before work. Spray in thin coats and let them dry; with a deep red the difference of a single coat shows clearly, so add gradually and look at the part against the light. The base must be smooth and glossy, as a clear coat goes cloudy on a matte surface. It thins with the thinner of the Mr.Color range, not with water. The thinner of this range is more aggressive than that of water-thinnable paints, so test the combination with a paint of another brand on an offcut of plastic first.
The package contains a single bottle of paint. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
