HGQ06 is the pink shade from the paint set tied to the GQuuuuuuX series. The name can mislead at first glance: the words Red Gundam do not describe the color in the bottle but the machine the shade belongs to. The paint itself is pink and on the model it complements the machine's red areas. Anyone building that particular machine is spared mixing a shade that is hard to hit from the basic colors.
It is an acrylic paint thinnable with water from the Gunze range. It dries to a semi-gloss sheen, that is, to a surface between flat and gloss. On robot kits that is the usual choice, because it lets the edges stand out without turning the model into a mirror.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Pink and light shades cover less well, so lay them over a light primer and in two or three thin coats; a single heavy coat dries unevenly and floods the engraved detail. Wash and degrease the parts beforehand. For an airbrush thin the paint as the manufacturer directs and match the ratio to the pressure and the nozzle. It always pays to try the shade on an offcut of sprue, because over plastic of a different color it looks different than on the color chart.
The paint is supplied on its own. The kit, the thinner, the primer, the clear coat and the tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
