A set of flexible sanding papers in five grits: 180, 280, 400, 600 and 800. It covers the whole process from leveling a surface to preparing it for paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is made up of five grits of flexible sanding paper: 180, 280, 400, 600 and 800. It is a range with which the whole of the usual work on the surface of a model can be done, from leveling the remains of material left after a part is cut off to a smooth area ready for paint. How many sheets of each grit the package contains and what size they are is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The coarsest step of the set, 180 grit, serves to remove material: it levels a filled spot or the remains left after a part is cut off. The 280 and 400 grits then smooth away the scratches that are left, and 600 and 800 bring the surface to a state where nothing gives itself away under the paint. Skipping a step does not pay, because fine paper will not remove a deep scratch, it only sands it into a softer shape in which a gloss finish will bring it out all the more.
Wipe the surface between each step so that loose grit does not make new scratches. On flat areas back the paper with something flat, while on curves use its flexibility so that it sits down over the whole area and does not round off an edge. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Whether the paper is also meant for wet sanding is stated on the packaging. Some grits of this range are also sold separately as a refill package, so a used-up step can be bought without the whole set.
A set of sanding papers in the grits given is supplied. A sanding block, paints and glue are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
