Responsibility details are not available.
Interior Green is a yellowish-green tone used on the interior surfaces of American aircraft from the Second World War era. It derives from a zinc-chromate-based protective coating that shielded the airframe structure from corrosion. On a model, use it in the cockpit, landing gear bays, the inner sides of gear doors, and exposed structural parts; some cockpit surfaces, however, were often black or gray, so it is worth checking the real subject.
Hobby Color is a low-odor, water-thinnable acrylic paint from Gunze. You can work with it even indoors, and tools are easy to clean afterward. It is applied with both an airbrush and a brush, which suits interior parts well, since small components are often painted by hand.
Shake the bottle thoroughly down to the bottom, where the pigment settles, and thin the paint with thinner from the same line. Apply a thin coat inside the cockpit so the fine relief of the instruments and ribs stays visible. Do not go over the paint with a brush for too long, as a second stroke into a tacky coat will pull it up. Let the coat cure thoroughly before further steps, especially before adding a darker shade into recesses.
The paint will be appreciated by modelers of Second World War aircraft who build a cockpit from photo-etch or an accessory set and want the base in the correct tone before tackling the details. The package contains only the paint; thinner, tools, and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
