A modeling paint in a green shade that the Gundam Color range lists under the name Blast Impulse. The finish is semi-gloss. The shades of this range come from particular machines, so it suits anyone who wants the color mixed in advance and does not want to hunt for it by mixing basic tones.
Semi-gloss is the middle step between flat and gloss. The surface stays alive, but it does not throw back so much light that every small irregularity stands out on large areas. On robot kits that tends to be welcome, because they rest precisely on broad smooth parts and on sharp boundaries between colors. A panel line accent and decals both behave more calmly over a semi-gloss surface than over a flat one.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, the pigment sinks to the bottom. Which thinner it takes and in what ratio is given by the manufacturer on the packaging; the choice of thinner differs between modeling ranges and the wrong one will curdle the paint. Lay it down in several thin coats and let each one dry, as a single heavy coat fills in the fine detail. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand, as paint holds worse on bare smooth plastic. Wash the tools right after the work, a dried film is substantially harder to remove.
