HUG208 is an orange paint from the series of shades tied to particular machines from the world of Gundam. The name Heine Westenfluss belongs to a pilot whose machine is strikingly orange just like this. Anyone building that particular model gets the shade ready in the bottle; for everyone else it serves as a sharp signal orange for warning areas, markings and accessories.
It is a paint from the Gunze range; the thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. It dries to a semi-gloss sheen, so the orange stays striking but does not mirror and does not shout as much as it would in a gloss coat. On large areas that is a more grateful surface than a full gloss, which gives away every irregularity.
A saturated orange has less covering power than dark shades; over dark plastic, therefore, lay it over a light primer, otherwise you will need needlessly many coats. Stir the paint properly before use and lay it down in thin coats with a sufficient pause to dry. Wash and degrease the surface of the parts beforehand. Smaller areas are manageable with a brush, continuous panels are better done with an airbrush.
The paint is supplied on its own. The kit, the thinner, the primer, the clear coat and the tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
