Justice Pink (Semi-Gloss)

The color

A pink in a semi-gloss execution, carried under the name Justice Pink. The color is mixed in advance, so you can come back to it even after months and an area sprayed today will follow on from the one from last time. A semi-gloss surface holds the notional middle road: it does not glow like gloss, but neither does it turn the shape of a part gray the way a deep matte does.

Thinning and cleaning

Stir the bottle properly before work; the pigment settles to the bottom and unstirred paint changes both the coverage and the gloss. Use the thinner that is intended for this range and set the ratio of thinning according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Trying the spray out on an offcut of the sprue from a kit first always pays off: you will tell at once whether the paint is running or on the contrary going grainy. Flush the airbrush out right after the work.

Working together with the other colors

The areas of color on robots follow on from one another in sharp transitions, so it is proven practice to spray from the lighter colors to the darker ones and to cover the boundaries with a mask stuck onto dried paint. Press the mask down along the whole length of the edge, apply thinly and peel it off soon after it has become tacky, with a pull at an angle from the edge. Small parts that are hard to aim an airbrush at should be painted with a brush in two thin layers; a single thick layer would flood the edges and the surface would be left streaky after it.

For builders of robots who spray a whole model, and for those who only want to unify parts from different packages or touch up places scuffed during assembly. Thinner and cleaner are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
