A matte black paint from the Tamiya range of lacquer paints in a 10 ml bottle. Despite the designation this product is sometimes classed among the acrylics; in fact it is a lacquer, and that is essential for correct thinning. The paint creates a firm, even matte surface and is popular for base and final coats alike.

Use

  • it is thinned solely with lacquer thinner, not with water
  • suitable for airbrush and brush, it dries quickly to a firm layer
  • matte black is ideal as an undercoat, for interiors, tires or shading
  • apply in thin coats and work with adequate ventilation
