A visual guide from AMMO of Mig Jimenez devoted to the American medium tank M4A3E8 Sherman, known by the nickname Easy Eight. Multilingual edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M4A3E8 belonged to the final development series of the American Sherman medium tank. You can tell it apart from earlier versions by its horizontal volute spring suspension and its wide tracks, which improved the vehicle's behavior on soft ground and smoothed out the ride. Its armament was a 76 mm gun. The well-known nickname Easy Eight comes from the designation E8. Tanks of this version saw combat in the closing stages of the Second World War and remained in service for years afterward.
The title was published by AMMO of Mig Jimenez under the manufacturer's catalog code A.MIG-6326 as a visual guide for modelers. Its focus is photographic material centered on the shape and surface of the real vehicle, which is exactly what a modeler at the workbench looks for most often. The edition is multilingual.
The photographs help with decisions about paint shades, the placement of stowage on the hull and turret, and the degree of wear you want to show on the model. The reference material is independent of kit size, so it works just as well for a model in 1:35 scale as in 1:72. It is also useful for upgrading older molds whose small details do not match reality, and for planning a diorama, where the vehicle and the surrounding scene need to match.
It will appeal to modelers of American ground vehicles and collectors of reference literature. This is a printed publication, not a kit. The package contains no parts, decals, paints or model, unless stated otherwise.
