Versatile masking circles from 1 to 4 mm in diameter on a sheet. They serve to cover small circular areas when spraying paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet carries circles in diameters from 1 to 4 mm, exactly the size that is hardest to outline freehand with a brush. They suit anywhere a clean circle is meant to stay after spraying: the lenses of lights and beacons, circular instruments, small service caps, bolt heads you want to set apart in a different shade, or circular patches in a camouflage scheme. Because they are not tied to one scale or to one subject, they get used up across whatever models are on the bench.
The masks are stuck down before spraying, not after. The surface has to be clean and degreased and the base coat perfectly dry. Peel the circle off the sheet with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers, place it in position and press the edges down all round with a toothpick, so that paint does not run under them. Spray perpendicularly and in thin coats, because an angled application runs in under the edge. Take the mask off soon after the paint has dried and pull it at an angle across itself, not straight up.
They come into their own on aircraft, on vehicles and on figures and serve just as well when painting accessories and bases. It is worth having them at hand before you need them, because replacing a small circle with a piece cut from tape is slow work and the edge never comes out as clean.
Paints, glue and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
