Mini Electric Drill is a small electric drill for making small holes in modeling work.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small electric drill meant for modeling work. Compared with a hand chuck it saves time wherever a number of holes have to be made one after another, for instance when drilling out the gun muzzles on a whole set or preparing holes for photo-etch. The small body is held like a pencil, so it can be guided precisely.
With the thinnest bits, reach for a hand chuck instead, because the speed of an electric drill breaks them easily. Mark the spot with a point first, so that the bit does not wander. Do not press; the bit will find its own way, and when drilling into resin or metal, pull it out from time to time to clear the swarf. Hold the drill square to the surface, because entering at an angle widens the hole and the edge will not be clean. Clean the swarf out of the chuck after use.
Before working on a finished model, always try the drilling on an offcut of the same material. The difference between plastic, resin and metal in how the bit behaves is considerable, and on the model there is no room left for repair.
Protect your eyes while drilling and do not breathe in the dust. Keep the drill out of the reach of children and disconnected from the power.
