Mr. Color flat varnish

Flat varnish of the Mr. Color line from the Japanese manufacturer GSI Creos (formerly Gunze Sangyo). It is a modeling product on a lacquer (solvent) base which creates a flat, non-glossy appearance on the surface of a plastic model. It is used as part of painting and surface finishing.

Use

• Applied with an airbrush or a quality brush, ideally after thinning with a suitable thinner (Mr. Color Thinner or Leveling Thinner, for example).
• It serves to unify and flatten the surface, suppress the gloss and prepare the surface for pigments and weathering.
• Mr. Color lacquer paints dry quickly and form a smooth, durable film — apply them in thin coats.

Who it is for

For modelers who want to achieve a flat appearance on military vehicles, aircraft or figures and are used to working with lacquer (solvent-based) paints, ideally with an airbrush.
