Mr. Color dark green (Nakajima) is the camouflage green of Japanese aircraft built by Nakajima. A lacquer paint in a 10 ml bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese aircraft factories each mixed camouflage paint to their own specification, so the dark green from Nakajima differs from the same tone produced by Mitsubishi or Kawasaki. The range therefore offers several variants, and the name of the works in the name of the paint is the detail a modeler chooses by.
The pigment is carried in a lacquer on an organic solvent, and water would only curdle the binder. Only the product of the same system can thin it, usually in a dose of around half the volume. The bottle holds ten milliliters and the dried coat stays firm and free of grain.
On Japanese machines the dark green on the upper surfaces was combined with a light underside and with a markedly darker shade on the engine cowling. It is precisely the contrast between these three areas that makes a model recognizable at first glance, so it pays not to skimp on any of them.
On Japanese types it also pays to give attention to the transition between the upper surfaces and the underside. On many machines it was not sharp, because the green was applied with an airbrush without a mask directly on the production line.
