The Gunze weathering brush set in the Extra Large size brings both the soft and the hard bristle version together in one package for applying pigments and dry-brushing on large surfaces.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are not brushes for laying paint down but tools for weathering. A weathering brush has short, dense bristles with which pigment is worked into a surface, a wash is spread out or edges are brought out by the dry-brush technique. This set is unusual in offering both bristle hardnesses in one package.
The range also includes sets with hard bristles only or soft bristles only, and a markedly smaller size for fine detail. This one is the largest and combined, so it makes sense on large models, where a small brush would leave visible streaks, and everywhere working in and blending alternate within a single operation. On figures and fine detail, by contrast, it is needlessly bulky.
For the modeler who already weathers vehicles, ships or dioramas and wants both hardnesses to hand without buying two separate sets.
Pigments are loose, so do not breathe them in and work in a ventilated space. Clean the brushes after use according to the type of material you have worked with.
