The orange family of Vallejo gaming acrylics in one package, graded from a dark ground to the brightest highlight for flames, rust and cloth.
Responsibility details are not available.
Orange lies between red and yellow, and that is exactly why it is easy to pick the wrong one. A single bottle looks convincing on the label, but on a figure it turns out either too brick or, conversely, too lemon, and it lacks the counterpart with which it would form a tonal pair. The package sidesteps that trap by supplying the whole family at once.
It is used for flames and flashes, for metal parts heated red, for the rusty surfaces of wrecks and for the striking textiles of fantasy figures. In all these cases you work with a saturated core and a lighter edge, so the tonal spacing within the family matters more than an exact color match.
Lay the darkest member as an overall ground and let it dry to matte. Apply the middle shade so that the one beneath stays visible in the hollows, and save the lightest for narrow edges. It thins with water, is dispensed drop by drop, and in layering it is better to go three times thinly than once heavily.
What it plainly lacks is the lightest yellow accent with which the tips of flames are taken almost to white; that has to be bought separately from another color family. Nothing here, by contrast, is surplus: none of the tones included fills a role another would fill just as well.
