Phantom Gray (Semi-Gloss)

Phantom Gray (Semi-Gloss) - a color from the Gundam series

A modeling paint from the Japanese brand Gunze from the series of colors for kits from the Gundam universe. This is a gray that in this series fills the role of the quiet area against the conspicuous colors of a scheme. The designation Semi-Gloss in the name gives a semi-gloss surface.

What the gray color suits

Take the color as the gray of the given palette and work out its use from the instructions with your kit. Gray is a rewarding color in modeling: it makes a background for colorful parts, unifies an assembly and is at the same time the color on which the highlighting of engraved lines and a fine patina stand out best. If you are building a machine with a dark finish, the gray also suits the inner frames and articulated parts that are meant to stay optically to the rear on a model.

Use and tips

• The highlighting of engraved lines stands out best on gray areas
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before applying; the pigment settles at the bottom
• Apply in several thin layers; one thick one will flood the engraved lines
• Test the compatibility with a varnish or patina on an offcut of the sprue
• Settle the thinner and the cleaning of the tools according to the manufacturer's instructions for this range

Who the color is for

The paint is meant for builders of kits from the Gundam universe and for modelers who find a neutral gray useful - for frames, articulated parts, science fiction equipment or accessories for a diorama.

Store the paint out of the reach of children, work in a ventilated space and use a respirator and eye protection when spraying. Check the suitable thinner and the cleaning of the tools against the manufacturer's data for this range - Gunze carries several systems side by side that do not mix with one another.
