A 3 ml pipette for measuring out paints and thinners. A single piece, allowing precise dosing when mixing shades.
Responsibility details are not available.
Mixing paint by eye is the main reason a shade on a model cannot be repeated. When the paint runs out mid-job, the second batch never matches. A pipette solves this problem: it lets you measure the same ratio again, since you count drops or graduations instead of guessing from the bottle.
The pipette is designed for repeated use, but after working with lacquer paints, flush it with thinner, or the residue inside will harden and it will stop drawing up liquid. For water-based paints, water is enough. It is worth having several and keeping them separate for paints and for thinners, so shades do not cross-contaminate.
A volume of three milliliters is roughly a third of a typical bottle of modeling paint, so it is enough for one fill of an airbrush cup.
There is little point trying to make a pipette last. Once it starts drawing up poorly or has dried residue inside, it is simpler to replace it than to clean it thoroughly.
