The tinier the part, the narrower the point you need. A wide tip does not fit into the place and the part shoots away as you grip it. These tweezers have straight, very narrow tips, so you can pick up etched parts, tiny rivets, printed bolts and the ends of wires with them. They belong to a range of precision tools in which the individual versions differ in the shape and the width of the point.
Before the first job, check whether the tips touch along their whole length: tweezers that do not close will never hold a tiny part. The narrow tips are at the same time the most sensitive to handling, so never use the tweezers as a pry bar or as a knife. Apply only enough pressure for the part to hold, because soft plastic and resin are easily dented. After working with glue, wipe the tips while the glue is still wet. Put the tweezers down so that the tips press against nothing, ideally into a stand or onto a soft mat, otherwise the tips will splay and stop closing.
The tool is intended for modeling use. The tips are sharp, so keep them out of the reach of children.
