This is not a kit of the aircraft - it is a 3D printed detail accessory from 3DF, meant as a replacement for the exhausts on a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E in 1:72 scale. The set is designed for the kit from Special Hobby. You will not build a model from it on its own - you need the basic plastic kit.
The exhaust stacks on the Bf 109E sit along the sides of the engine, so they are visible from every angle. At the same time they are the first place where weathering is done - soot, oil streaks and heat discoloration of the metal. An injection-molded plastic part tends to be blanked off and thick-walled, because a mold allows no other geometry. 3D printing can manage thin walls and genuinely open, through-drilled mouths of the stacks. The difference shows at once, even in a small scale.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, is the version from the Battle of Britain. The exhausts differ between the Bf 109 versions - the later Bf 109F and Bf 109G have a different exhaust arrangement from the Emil. This set is expressly for the E version. Do not use it on a model of the Friedrich or the Gustav, or you will have a part from the wrong version on the model.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
