A set of fine resin castings from Firma49 in 1:72 scale, depicting the standard German 200-liter fuel drums used by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. This is not a vehicle kit, but an accessory that adds detail to a diorama, vehicle cargo beds or supply scenes.
Drums are a characteristic feature of supply activity at the front and in the rear. Place them on truck beds, at field fuel dumps, at refueling points, or loose on a diorama base. Thanks to resin casting, they have sharp edges, seams and rims that are often lost in injection-molded plastic.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue them with cyanoacrylate (super glue). For painting, matte shades, wear marks and rust work well – washes and pigments will give the drums a realistic used-metal patina.
This is a resin accessory. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
