An injection-molded plastic kit from the A and A Models brand capturing the single-seat Hawk 209 light fighter aircraft in the version of the Indonesian Air Force, in 1:72 scale. According to the maker's data the package holds, besides the plastic parts, an etched fret and masking films as well, and it offers three marking options of Indonesian machines. It is a new mold derived from the Hawk 200 series.
The Hawk 209 is a single-seat combat variant from the family of British BAE Hawk aircraft, adapted for air defense, close air support and attack duties. Against the two-seat training version it has a modified nose with a radar, a single seat and broader options for carrying armament. The Indonesian Air Force took these machines into service and used them with combat squadrons.
Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement and sand the joints of the fuselage and the wing carefully. Apply a primer before painting and lay the shades on with an airbrush. The etched parts and masks supplied will make working the cockpit and the canopy frames easier. A gloss coat under the decals will ensure the markings settle cleanly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
