The figure captures a fighter pilot in the gear worn today in the air forces of the NATO states. The equipment of a present-day fighter pilot is recognizable at a glance and differs in every detail from the days of propeller aircraft: a helmet with a hinged visor, an oxygen mask clipped to the sides of the helmet, a life vest with a harness on the torso and, on the legs and belly, a g-suit that inflates during maneuvers and holds the blood in the upper half of the body. Gloves and high flying boots complete the outfit. That is exactly why the figure looks bulkier than a man in ordinary clothing, which shows up well on a model.
According to its name it is one figure. In 1:32 scale an adult figure comes to roughly 55 mm, so next to a model aircraft it conveys the size better than any description, and the scene around the machine comes alive thanks to it.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the rest off, so that the crisp edges of the gear remain. Wash and degrease the figure before painting and choose the glue according to the material of the parts; the particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. While painting it helps to keep to the order from the largest areas to the small details: the flight suit first, then the vest and harness, and the face and the helmet visor last. A gloss varnish on the visor and a matte one on the suit will separate the two surfaces more reliably than a difference in shade.
