A figure of a present-day NATO fighter pilot in 1:32 scale. The package holds one figure to assemble and paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a present-day fighter pilot of the NATO countries. The package holds one figure in 1:32 scale, the size in which large aircraft models are built and in which even small detail of the gear and the face comes out.
A figure placed next to an aircraft gives the model scale and fills the empty space on a base or on a scenery board. On large models that difference shows up well: a finished fighter looks static on its own, while with a pilot beside it a scene appears, perhaps preparation for a flight or a return from one. You can also paint the figure on its own as a small display piece.
Wash and degrease the figure before painting, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and carefully sand off the traces of manufacture. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and fill any seams after gluing so that the paint does not bring them out. Build the paint in thin coats, give the face warm shades and bring out the folds of the flight suit with a wash. In 1:32 scale the eyes and the straps of the gear are worth attention, because they are immediately visible on a finished figure. Even the surface out at the end with a matte varnish and leave gloss only where it makes sense, on the helmet visor for instance.
It suits modelers who build modern combat aircraft in 1:32 scale and want to add a human figure to them, as well as those who enjoy taking their time over painting figures in the larger scales. Paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
