A resin engine set, the Wright R-2600 Cyclone 14 in 1:48 scale from Art Scale — an accurate model of the American radial aircraft engine, for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin, accurately 3D-designed set of the American Wright R-2600 Twin Cyclone radial aircraft engine in 1:48 scale from Art Scale. It is not a standalone aircraft model but a detailing accessory for experienced modelers, with which they can improve the powerplant when building the matching aircraft or which can serve as a standalone display engine. The set stands out for its sharp cylinder finning and fine ignition harness. The exact contents and part count are stated by the manufacturer.
The Wright R-2600 was an American fourteen-cylinder, twin-row, air-cooled radial aircraft engine of the late 1930s. Depending on the version it gave roughly 1500 to more than 1800 horsepower and powered a number of machines of the Second World War, among them twin-engine bombers and carrier torpedo and dive bombers.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut away the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Sand resin with respiratory protection. Paint the engine with an airbrush over a primer, bring the metallic shades of the cylinders and the reduction gear to life and pick out the ignition harness with a fine wash and a dry brush. Before installing it in an aircraft, check that the set matches the shape of the engine cowling on your kit.
The set is supplied as a resin kit without paints and glue. The basic aircraft model is not included in the package.
