A kit of the Humber Scout Car light armored car in the form used by Israeli forces in 1948, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Humber Scout Car is a British light armored car with four-wheel drive, introduced in the Second World War. It came about as a liaison and reconnaissance vehicle for the commanders of armored units: a low open body, a crew of two, armor against splinters and infantry weapons, and one light machine gun on a roof mounting. It was not a combat vehicle for the front line but a fast and inconspicuous vehicle for liaison and observation.
The kit aims at the form used in Israeli service at the time of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Vehicles of British origin appeared in this conflict in improvised conversions and with hastily applied markings, so the model offers a different view from the usual British finish. The particular color and marking options are in the instructions that belong to the item, and go by them both when choosing the shade and when placing the markings.
In 1:72 scale this is a small model, so try the parts dry and dose the glue drop by drop. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. The open inside of the body is visible, so it pays to paint it and pick it out before the build is closed. Paint the wheels and the chassis separately from the body. At the end, dry dust on the fenders, worn paint on the edges and gentle lightening of the upper surfaces all help.
What is supplied is a kit; the model is unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
