Responsibility details are not available.
The item is offered as a gift set built around a plastic model of an aircraft in 1:48. At its core is the famous American twin-engined medium bomber B-25J Mitchell, that is the most numerously produced version of the whole family. The exact composition of the set is not stated here, so check the contents of the package before buying; with gift editions additional content is usually included alongside the kit itself.
The B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engined all-metal high-wing aircraft with twin fins and rudders, powered by a pair of air-cooled radial engines. It came about at the turn of the thirties and forties as a medium bomber and proved itself across a whole range of tasks, from classic bombing from medium altitude to attacks at low level and patrols over the sea. The J version was produced in the largest numbers and existed in two basic forms: with a glazed nose for the bombardier and with what was called the attack nose, in which a battery of machine guns was fitted instead of the glazing. The aircraft served with the American army and with a number of allied users, and after the war it stayed in civil and training service for a long time.
A twin-engined bomber in 1:48 is a large model and rewards patient preparation. It pays to try the engine nacelles and the wing joints dry and to fill any gaps with putty before filling and sanding in earnest. Build and paint the cockpit and the glazed parts before you close the fuselage up, because once it is glued there is no way back to them. Mask the glazing and spray it together with the surrounding area, so that the frames match. Before the decals we recommend a gloss varnish compatible with the paint used, after them a matte overcoat and a light emphasis of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
