A set of resin figures of a German wartime naval crew in 1:48 scale from FLY. The package holds 1 captain and 10 sailors, 11 figures in all. This variant is the rendition with berets. The figures serve to populate the decks of models of ships, boats and submarines and for dioramas; it is not a ship kit.
The figures represent members of the German wartime navy (the Kriegsmarine) of the Second World War period. In the larger 1:48 scale the detail of the uniforms and the faces comes out well, so careful painting pays off.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks, clean them up and wash off any mold release agent. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). They can be painted with a brush or an airbrush; we recommend working up the faces, the uniforms and the shadows of the folds, and using oils for fine shading if you wish.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
