Water soluble patina FILTHY DIRT 60ml

What the patina is for

Dirt does not settle evenly on a real machine. It clings where the wheels or tracks threw it, in the panel lines, under the fenders and in the corners the rain does not wash out. The Filthy Dirt shade has the color of exactly such a deposit and is intended for the final stage of a build, when the model is painted and all it lacks are the traces of use.

How to work with it

• Shake the bottle before every use, as the color component settles to the bottom.
• The base has to be completely dry; on a flat surface the patina holds better than on a glossy one.
• Apply it in thin layers and build the depth gradually.
• Wipe the surplus off with a damp brush from the top down, so that the traces follow the running of water.
• The product is soluble in water, so a dry layer can be washed out again and the shape of the deposit adjusted.
• Fix the result with varnish if further work with water is to follow on the model.
• It is thinned with water, and brushes are cleaned with water as well.

Who it is for

Builders of military vehicles, construction and agricultural machines and dioramas will use it most, but it serves on aircraft landing gear or the feet of figures as well. The volume of 60 ml matches ordinary modeling use, because it is applied in thin layers.

Terms of supply

What is supplied is a bottle of 60 ml according to the name of the item. Brushes, varnish, pigments and other effect products are to be prepared of your own, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the bottle carefully closed out of the reach of children.
