This is not an airplane kit but a resin conversion set for experienced modelers. The set serves to convert a model of the classic piston-engined Convair into the CV-580 turboprop version powered by Allison 501 engines. It holds the parts of the engine nacelles and related items in 1:72 scale. The accessory is made by LACI.
The Convair CV-580 came about by converting the older piston-engined Convair 340/440. The original engines were replaced by Allison 501 turboprops, the aircraft was given reworked tail surfaces and it became a reliable regional passenger and freight machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), sand resin with respiratory protection, and use a primer before painting.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
