A collector's resin bust of a soldier with a captured American M1 carbine from the Ardennes offensive of 1944, in 1:10 scale from Life Miniatures. It belongs to the Ambush at Poteau series. The set holds cast resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is intended for experienced modelers and collectors of figures.
The subject is a soldier in the area around the Belgian village of Poteau during the fighting in the Ardennes at the turn of 1944 and 1945, armed with a captured American M1 carbine. The bust works out the period winter uniform, the gear and the details of the weapon. It is a standard historical modeling theme, treated matter-of-factly.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut away the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and wear respiratory protection while sanding. The uniform, the leather and the wood of the stock can be worked out in oils or acrylics with gradual shading.
It is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
